Pork Loin Roast with Apple Cider Gravy

Serves: 6 | Prep time: 10 min | Cook time: 1 hr

Steynsburg pork

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 kg pork loin

  • Salt & pepper

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 1 cup apple cider

  • 1 cup chicken stock

  • 1 tbsp flour

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 2 sprigs thyme

Instructions

  1. Season pork and sear in hot oil.

  2. Roast at 180°C for 1 hour.

  3. Remove pork.

  4. In the roasting tray, whisk flour into drippings.

  5. Add cider, stock, thyme, and simmer until slightly thickened.

  6. Strain and serve over slices of pork.
