Sweet & Salty Pork Cutlet Donuts

20 minutes, Prep time: 10 minutes, Cooking time: 10 minutes

INGREDIENTS

For the Pork Cutlets

  • 6 thin pork cutlets
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp brown sugar (optional)

For the Donuts

  • 6 plain donuts (fresh bakery-style works best)

For the Vanilla White Icing

  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla essence
  • pinch sea salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Cook the pork cutlets

  • Season pork cutlets with salt and pepper.
  • Pan-fry over medium heat in butter until:
    ✔ crispy edges
    ✔ golden caramel colour
    ✔ juicy centre
  • Optional: sprinkle a little brown sugar during cooking for a sweet caramel finish.
  • Slice into strips once cooked.

Step 2: Make the icing

  • Mix:
    Icing sugar, milk, vanilla, and a tiny pinch of sea salt.
  • Stir until smooth and glossy.

Step 3: Assemble the donuts

  • Spread vanilla icing over each donut.
  • Top generously with warm crispy pork cutlet strips.
  • Allow icing to set slightly before serving.

Optional gourmet upgrades

For an elevated flavour twist, add:

  • maple syrup drizzle
  • crushed pecans
  • smoked sea salt
  • chilli flakes
  • crispy onions
